Finally a solution for an annoying problem

Some of you may remember my post back in January about my idea - Straptab (See pic for summary)

In summary of the reasons, I wrote “What ever the reason may be, not having a way to attach a strap or lanyard to your iPhone is a major drawback (especially for Japanese that want to have half of Disney Tokyo hanging off their ‘keitai denwa’ mobile phones)”

Well a Japanese company has finally Infringed my intellectual property I mean, made the previously mentioned device.

Yes I know I’m probably just being bitter about my own inability to put the Straptab into production. But with me needing a new computer & to break my iPhone contract to get the new iPhone 3G S (but without the funds to do so) so I can continue to test all of the apps, accessories, software & equipment that makes up the world of iPhography, you can understand my frustrations.

Having said that, they seem to have done a pretty good job making it & I feel it is something that many of us would get use from (otherwise I wouldn’t have created it in the first place). I haven’t had the opportunity to test it for strength & quality but would like to do so.

The dangle/button/thingy is made/sold by Strapya.com it’s a Japanese website & although I read a little bit of Japanese I thought they had an english version of the site, but I may be mistaken. If you are a fan of decorating, dangly or techno accessories for mobiles then you may want a spare pair of pants handy because this site has the ‘motherload’ of phone accessories

They appear to be using 3M adheasives which are know for their quality but I would like to know if the small size could stand up to the jolt of a drop if attached to a lanyard. Although Im sure it’s strong enough to support your Hello Kitty dangle

Step 1 - Clean your Keitai denwa (Mobile)

Step 2 - Peel adheasive & position

Step 3 - Attach as many dangly things as you can until you are no longer able to hold your mobile
