Ok this is only related to iPhography in the fact that it concerns 1 of Australia’s major telco’s copying Apple in the most rediculous way
1) When you see an Apple logo on a building it looks like an Apple but Telstra using their blue t thingy stabbed in an orange sideways oval logo thingy with no text is a bit of a mouthful when trying to describe to my friend thats just arrived in Australia & wants to buy a mobile if they have never heard of telstra. “Oh Misaki, that’s easy, you just go over to the shop with …….. oh f**K it, forget it, just look for the shop that says Optus, they’re all shit anyway”
2) Their copy of the Genuius Bar which basically consists of the regular sales staff or manager taking 2 steps from the cash register to the other counter
3) Their new ads which are trying to capture Apple’s colourful simplistic feel good iPod ads, except they dont show any f**king products, what the f**k are you, or do you sell Mr blue t thingy stabbed in an orange sideways oval thingy. But Having said that, the ads are pretty, just like being showered in confetti at a gay mardi gras parade
On the bonus side, if people don’t know who they are, Telstra wont have to worry about them remembering how shit their service was either. So maybe they might pick up a few old customers or a few people who accidently walked into the store thinking it was somekind of logo for an Australian information center.
Foriegn customer - “Hi I was just wondering do you know where the public toilets are”
Shop owner / manager / product genius - “Yes sure, but while your here, are you happy with your current phone plan?”

With all of your genius, with all of your resources, with all of your design tallent, why can’t you make a fricken dock cord that doesnt brake after 3 weeks??
Im sure you are aware that anyone who cradles an iPhone in their hand whilst it is charging will brake the cord just below the dock connector
Seriously I have bought 3rd party cords for a third of the price that last 10 times as long (or more because it hasn’t broken yet)
An iPhone is a brick without a cable
Apple…. we expect better from you.

Ok, so here is my quick theory. Apple in all it’s wisdom wants to make sure that it’s products are idiot proof & super easy to use so just before product launch Apple orders several members of it’s testing team to get sh*tfaced drunk to put them on the same mental capacity of the average punter & try to call a taxi back to the Cupertino Campus. In which case they constantly underestimate the average consumer or their testing engineers ability to hold liquor.
Dear Apple
Once again, this is why we keep asking for a lanyard hole. When will you learn that as consumers without the billion dollar budgets you have, we wish even more to not loose our iPhones. I have a stretch cord attached to mine so I don’t drop it in the water or off tall buildings when I’m taking iphographs. But I wish I didn’t have to add a bulky case to do this.
Do you make smart phone apps? Then imagine owning a premium domain like short beautiful & self explainitory name “TapApp.co” or how about the even shorter “TapC.am” for iPhone/Android photography?

This app was featured in the Appstore & recieved many positive reviews, but we are not sure why. Had we not seen Photosynth by Microsoft maybe we would have been more impressed. Do people hate Microsoft that much, that even when they do make a great app, people will ignore it? Or has Microsoft just done a lame job at marketing their app?
This app is to be praised for it’s simplicity but as far as both the capture process & quality goes, photosynth by Microsoft is much better. Photosynth not only has smother sharper stitching but you can recapture an area if you don’t like how it was done automatically & you can pan on both a vertical & horizontal axis. Photosynth also offers cropping options”
iPhography Recommendation: 3 stars, try Photosynth first for auto capture pano’s or Autostitch to make pano’s from your camera roll
