Here’s the tip: Want nice Black and whites? Then shoot in colour. That way when you convert to black and white you can later selectively adjust each of the colours and not just brightness contrast etc. eg. A yellow line on a train platform may be tonally similar (the same level of greyness) as the concrete but in colour we remember yellow as being brighter so when converting to black and...
