Chase Jarvis asks "Who wants my iPhone?", the...
Story via: joshiphonephotography On June 19, world renowned photographer/ director Chase Jarvis sent a simple question out to the world, “Who wants my iPhone”? If you take into account the 4,999 friends he has on his maxed out personal Facebook page, 4,926 on his Facebook fan page, the 12,128 twitter followers, …oh yah, and not to mention the blog that he effectively runs, I think that puts...

Just a quick note to say, thanks to Optus (Australia) we will be able to get our hands on a new 3GS to continue testing the features of both the current 3G & 3G S & to be able to compare the differences between the 2. It should be arriving Friday & we’ll be letting you know our impressions soon after. By that time hopefully a few more of the apps that were broken have been...

3.0 goin' for broke
Many of the apps that we have given a Highly Recommended to have been broken by the latest 3.0 update There are many reasons for this. Some apps just aren’t compatible with the new OS, some have been rejected by Apple in their app review process & some app makers either haven’t yet or don’t intend to upgrade their apps to OS 3.0 Now we’re not app makers, so we...

iPhone OS 3.0 - Good news for iPhographers
The list of refinements & features in the new OS is huge but we just want to share a few things that may be of interest to iPhographers The best thing is, even though only a subjective judgement by eye, iPhographs are much sharper & with less noise. Yay! A feature I really love is that in the settings, you can set your home button so that when you double click, it launches the camera...

Dear Apple, Aussie iPhographers also like good...
Why is it that iPhographers in America, Canada, Japan, Taiwan & parts of Latin America get a gorgeous neat little power adapter like this? When we Aussies get this huge hard to put in a pocket or small bag thing Ok the scale on the pics are a bit different but trust me when I say it’s about 6 times the volume Now I know that we have angled prongs here, but I see no technical...

Thank you!
I’m not sure if you have all been telling your friends or if people are just accidently falling over this site. But I want to thank all of the old & new followers & readers. The iPhography movement is growing at around 5% per day. Yes per day! At this rate, the whole world will be an iPhographer soon, & just think what will happen when people start snapping up the lower cost...

Finally a solution for an annoying problem
Some of you may remember my post back in January about my idea - Straptab (See pic for summary) In summary of the reasons, I wrote “What ever the reason may be, not having a way to attach a strap or lanyard to your iPhone is a major drawback (especially for Japanese that want to have half of Disney Tokyo hanging off their ‘keitai denwa’ mobile phones)” Well a Japanese company has...

iPhography.com's take on the future of Youtube
You can now Subscribe to the youtube channel I set up to feed iPhography.com with the latest videos I know that lots of you will be getting a lot more use out of YouTube soon with the new iPhone 3G S’s video capabilities. But to be honest I dont really like youtube. I think as simple as Youtube seems, it’s still way to complicated. The design is quite bad with lots of repetition,...

June 2009s Featured iPhographer - Shawn Blanc
In my usual trolls of the web to find any interesting iPhography projects, I came across Shawn Blanc’s project For an iPhone, By an iPhone. Shawn was kind enough to join us for a Q & A session to share his experience with you. iPhography.com: What got you into iPhography? Shawn: It was a combination of things, really. The first was discovering CameraBag and CameraKit. These two great...

Apples New Snow leopard OS
The first thing I noticed was the ability for iPhographers to be able to trim/clip video’s in the new quicktime (PS Love the new logo) But the most cool thing about the new OS is that apart from the rediculously cheap upgrade price for leopard users ($29 US or $49 US for a 5 user pack) is that Apple has tweaked & tuned the livin’ daylights out of it & managed to shave more...

New iPhographic Possibilities - The iPhone 3G S
We’ll unless Steve turns up at a special event soon touting the trademark “One more thing…” This looks like the current line of iPhones. Ok so most of the rumours “so far” have been wrong. No it hasn’t got a rubberised case, no it doesn’t have a forward facing camera & it hasn’t yet learnt how to unpack the dishwasher. As a matter of...
