A story over at AppleInsider talks about how iPhones.ru & Gizmodo have done some brief tests & have noted that iPhone 3.0 firmware beta appears to be taking much better iPhographs. Presumably this comes from an update to the image processing algorithms
The images appear to have less blur, haloing, noise & have richer blacks

Pure iPhographer
Well It’s official. I finally made the jump & have become a 100% pure iPhographer. As space on my iPhone rapidly decreased due to the volume of iPhographs on it, I decided there was only one thing to do. Delete all the music!
